At 5:15 a.m. on December 31, 2005, I watched the last patch of pavement of
our cul-de-sac, Fife Court, become submerged.
By 6 a.m. our neighbor, Don, who has lived on this street for a decade, knocked
on the door suggesting we move our cars up on to Armstrong Woods Road, which
was still well above the water.
